The app description is reflecting StitchBuddy HD's capabilities, and I recommend to consult its help and some video tutorials at its website to have a preview and learn about its handling. And if you want to select something that’s not in a box or a continuous stitch it ain’t gonna happen. Maybe if you have a simple design it’s not bad but if you’re looking at an in the hoop design good luck figuring out which layer you’re on. Changing colors in general is very difficult because it’s hard to see exactly which stitches you’re changing. If you can change colors of portions of it without changing the rest I can’t figure it out (for example changing a solid colored word PRIDE to individual letters being different colors). Make sure you carefully read the description! The reviews seem to indicate a usability that does NOT exist.
